Telemetry that explains the lap, setups that were actually driven, and people who will sit down and go through your data with you.
Paid orders from the shop, January 2023 to October 2026. Taken from the order export, not estimated.
Long before there was an app, there was a shop: car setups for rFactor 2, built lap by lap, sold one at a time. 6,095 of them went out to 1,611 drivers in 62 countries. Every single one was driven in a real session before anybody could buy it, and that has not changed.
Why is this setup faster? A file with 166 values does not answer that. So we built the thing that does: a platform that records your laps in six sims, puts them next to a reference lap, and tells you where the time went, corner by corner, in words instead of graphs you have to decode.
After that came the live overlays, because knowing it after the session is too late. Brake point, trail-brake distance, apex speed, lift and coast, push-to-pass, while you are still driving.
Improveyourlaptime is small, and that is on purpose. It is run by Fabian Rüth, who is finishing a master's degree in automotive engineering at TU Braunschweig and races the same sims these tools are built for. Every feature here exists because something was missing in his own race weekend first.
Coaching sessions are given by experienced sim racers from our own community, not by a support desk reading from a script. If you book an hour, you get somebody who drives.
The lap on our front page is a real Silverstone lap at 1:35.789, drawn from 5,447 measured points. Screenshots show the actual app.
The four figures above come out of the order export. Figures that would suggest more than they measure stay off the site, even the flattering ones.
What happens to the telemetry you upload is in the privacy policy and the supplementary terms — in plain words, not buried.
The app is free to start: upload your laps, open the viewer, see for yourself. If you would rather ask first, the contact form goes straight to us and we answer ourselves.
